Six weeks out — Set 14

I know that we are all holding our breath prior to Tuesday night’s Vice-Presidential candidate debate. (Who knows; there might actually be a debate — how cool is that?) There are however a few memes to share until the next memeingful political landscape shifts and jolts, or should I say jabs and punches. It’s easier to poke the irascible Vance than the avuncular Walz. Still we will see what happens. Trump has bitterly complained that ABC hosts fact checked him more than VP Harris. Well, sources beyond ABC confirm that Mr. Trump exaggerated outcomes, ignored detail, misrepresented data, and outright lied consistently through his presentation. Ms. Harris may have exaggerated income estimates. You be the judge.

The race between the two tickets is still too close to call. Both The Guardian and the New York Times extract precise data from very small sample sizes. In other words, polls are fun for pollsters though less helpful in calculating Electoral College results.

And the memes keep coming, some nasty and others just clever. You might want to revisit earlier collections listed here. For now, here are some recent images for your enjoyment.
