Canada eh!

Resistance to the Trump/Musk horror show is growing. In the US, social media now includes a variety of mea culpa statements by Trump voters. Many are hard to verify and may be fakes. That said, I am reminded of that stupid woman who admitted on the BBC a day following the “leave” victory that she wouldn’t have voted that way if she knew so many others would also vote to leave. How stupid is this? And it seems that “bregret” grows by the day.

In Washington, some republican lawmakers have leaned on Trump to rein in Musk. Best of luck on that, but the news in encouraging. Likewise US automakers cranked out a small win on auto industry tariffs. Glad we bought our car last year however, a Honda built in Alliston, Ontario.

And then . . . TaDa . . . Canada will not replace national sovereignty with felonious fealty. Canada will never be the 51^st state and will fight annexation, economic or otherwise to our dying day. Let’s hope it won’t come to that. Don’t forget that Dr. Strangelove 2.0 is at the controls and has the launch codes close at hand.

Our Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau threw down the gauntlet, again, only yesterday. Employing flattery coupled with truthful analysis Trudeau told Trump in no uncertain terms during his second-round ropes match “even though you’re a very smart guy, this [tariffs and a trade wat] is a very dumb thing to do.”
